A Trip To Georgetown

From On November 1, 2010

Halloween weekend was lots of fun. It didn’t involve getting dressed up in a costume or spending time at festive parties. I basically hung out with my sister the entire time. Eating Halloween-inspired cookies and watching scary movies is just as much of a good time to me. We took a trip to Georgetown in hopes of not overspending. I think we made out ok. I saw a lot of things I’d love to have, but I’ve put my impulse shopping in check. So I ended up bringing home a scarf and a belt from Anthropologie. Sounds pretty simple, but they were both things I’ve been dying to have.

Striking Encounter Scarf

We all know that I’m a scarf fanatic (see here). For whatever reason, I’ve really been into black and white printed scarves. I don’t know what it is. Maybe it’s the contrast in colors that’s got me hooked. I first saw this online and immediately knew that at some point I would be buying it. I also LOVED that it’s 100% wool. I’m a lucky girl in the sense that wool scarves do not make me itch. The fringe-detailing on each end, another great characteristic. Can’t wait to wear this!

Windmill Bow Belt

I also found the Windmill Bow Belt online. I thought it was so chic with the black on navy coloring. And how feminine is the grosgrain bow? Ugh! I pictured this with an all black outfit and this belt to accentuate the waist. Can’t wait to test it out.

I was sooo lucky to find both of these in the Anthropologie at the Georgetown location. They usually never let me down, anyway. Expect to see them in future posts!
