So I really struggled when it came to figuring out exactly how I wanted to wear my colorblocked BCBG Max Azria skirt. Remember it from one of my shopping expeditions? Well I decided to wear it with this silk floral top from Forever 21, taking on two of spring’s biggest trends: colorblocking & flowers. At first I wasn’t very fond of floral prints, but I’ve managed to add a few pieces of it to my wardrobe. This particular top caught my eye with its external zipper in the back.
Once I decided on the top I was wearing, I then had to figure out if I wanted it tucked in and blousy over the top of the skirt or not tucked in and belted at the waist. I originally wanted it tucked in, but didn’t really like it like I thought I would. So I used this little yellow belt I had gotten from Urban Outfitters years ago. This is a lot of color for me. Don’t get me wrong, I love colors. I just love them in smaller doses. I’m in love with earth tones and shades of gray. But this was a fun change of pace.
