So I’ve decided that at the end of every month I would do a roundup of all my looks from that month. All of these photos are ones that I did not use in previous posts.

Which was your favorite look from the month of August?

A Sneak Peek At Love, Cortnie

From On August 29, 2011

A few days ago I mentioned how I’ve been contemplating making and selling handbags. So yes, I’ve officially decided to start making them. Oversized clutches to be exact. I’ve loved them for some time and own quite a few. I’ve always imagined the type of clutch I would love to buy, but could never find one in an actual store (or on a website). So now I’m putting it in my own hands and will start making them myself. These are a few of the patterns they will consist of. So keep an eye out on my new Etsy shop, for they will be going up for sale soon. I’ll keep you guys posted!

Light Linens

From On August 26, 2011

How beautiful is this skirt?! I got it years ago from Anthropologie (by Maple). So glad that I don’t give things away after not wearing them for a while. The last time I wore it was probably about 4 years ago in 2007. Whoa. Made of linen, the print and coloring are amazing. The belt by Pelle Melle is also from Anthropologie. How do you like the oversized brass buckle?

I paired them with this super sheer linen top from BCBG Max Azria and towering platforms from ALDO. I wore almost no jewelry. Only the gold studs in my ears, so yeah, basically no jewelry. The skirt was my statement. Hopefully everyone on the East Coast stays safe with Hurricane Irene in the forecast. Not looking forward to it at all!

What I wore:
BCBG Max Azria tank, Anthropologie skirt and belt, ALDO heels, Forever 21 sunglasses, NARS’ Funny Face lipstick, OPI’s Do You Lilac It? nail polish

A Clutch Or Two, For Me & You

From On August 24, 2011

For the past week I’ve been heavily contemplating making and selling clutches. I went to my grandmother’s the other day to use her sewing machine and to just have fun with some of the fabric she had laying around. This quilted clutch was just a test. I wanted to see how it would turn out. The ones I would make would be different colors, prints and textures. They would zip across the top, be lined and also have an inside pocket.

So what do you think? Would anyone be interested?

Thrift Store Find

From On August 22, 2011

A couple of days ago I went thrifting with my aunt and cousin and I must say that it was kind of fun. It was really only my second time in a Thrift Store. We went to two and while we were disappointed with the first store, we all left with something from the second. My find? This $3 oversized men’s sweater. With a wool blend and made in Italy, I was pretty excited to come across it. Love the v-neck, the big sleeves and the colors. I hope to check out some other Thrift Stores soon.

Have you been to a Thrift Store lately? If so, what did you find?
