Goodbye, 2011

From On December 30, 2011

This year has been pretty life-changing. My blog has progressed, I’ve met some amazing people, I have wonderful family and friends and of course, the start of my Love,Cortnie Etsy shop. Here’s a bunch of my favorite photos from 2011. I can’t wait to see what next year brings. Cheers to 2012!

Happy New Year everyone! Thank you for all of your love and support!

A Feature on *Refinery29*

From On December 29, 2011

It was only a little while ago that I was approached by Refinery29. They wanted to interview me about my Love,Cortnie clutches. Pretty cool, huh? Well that article hit the site yesterday and I just wanted to share with anyone that may not have seen it. Find out how I got started, what to look forward to in my Etsy shop for Spring and who, if given the chance, I would love to do a design collaboration with.

Check it out here!

And a big THANK YOU to Colleen and Holly over at Refinery29 for their interest in my bags and wanting to share them with others! I’m so overwhelmed with the support I’ve received (shout-out to my CapFABBers!). It means a lot and I truly appreciate it 🙂

Wooly Hearted

From On December 27, 2011

I remember when I first spotted this sweater on a blog. I fell in love immediately, but was so disappointed to read that it was sold out online. Then I saw pictures of Michelle Obama wearing and completely understood why it was sold out. I thought all hope was lost until I walked into my local J.Crew store to see it available (in limited sizes) and in all three colors. While the other two colors (navy w/green heart, red w/pink heart) were cute, it only made sense for me to go with the neutral and black colored sweater. SOLD!

Rocking my ‘Glittering Gold’ sequin clutch. Make sure to become a fan of the new Love,Cortnie Facebook page!

What I wore:
J.Crew sweater and pants, Gap flats (similar style here), Love,Cortnie ‘Glittering Gold’ clutch, Forever 21 specs

Gothical Plum

From On December 23, 2011

I actually thought this skirt was hideous when I first saw it. Boy, am I glad I changed my mind. It’s so dramatic and the deep purple goes so well with it. Pulled the two pieces together with a belt, added a fringe necklace and the look wouldn’t be complete without one of my Love,Cortnie bags. Speaking of bags, don’t forget to become a fan of the new Love,Cortnie Facebook page!

What I wore:
Top from Nordstrom, BCBG Max Azria maxi skirt and belt, Madewell necklace, Love,Cortnie ‘Elizabeth’ clutch, Vince Camuto booties

Make sure to check out the Love,Cortnie Mentions tab at the top of the page! There you can see how a number people have worn their Love,Cortnie clutches. If you own one of the clutches and the link is not already on the list just shoot me an email!

Leather & Tweed Duo

From On December 19, 2011

I came across this jacket while I was in Florida and was in love immediately. Structured brown leather and tweed together? And it was on sale?! Easy answer. A definite buy. Or so I thought. I doubted it for a second and probably tried it on in the store about 5 different times. The fit of it was amazing (it also has pockets) and I knew that if I didn’t buy it I would kick myself later. So it’s safe to say that it now resides in my closet.

What I wore:
Gap jacket, Citizens of Humanity jeans, ALDO heels, American Apparel clutch
