Pink Lady

From On July 30, 2012

Clearly I’m a fan of wearing all pink. You may remember the Pink Overload post I did back in April. One of my favorite looks! I’m doing it again, just a bit less dramatic. This peplum bustier I got from Anthropologie. Again, years ago. The soft blush pink made it a no-brainer type of purchase. I paired it with these pink Gap shorts. They’re on sale now, but if you can find a pair I highly suggest you do so. Even if it requires a bit of stalking. Trust me, it will be worth it.

P.S. How do you like the newest clutch in my Etsy shop?

What I Wore:
Anthropologie top, Gap shorts (on sale HERE), Madewell necklace, Love,Cortnie ‘Tie-Dye’ clutch (HERE), Nine West Sandals (on sale for just $35 HERE), J.Crew ring, Forever 21 glasses

Metal Dressing

From On July 26, 2012

I love Forever 21 for its ability to provide fashionable pieces at low costs. Usually cheap prices go hand-in-hand with things that aren’t exactly well-made. That’s not the case for this dress. I’ve had it for years. A silk and linen blend with a bit of a silver metallic touch to it. The deep v-neck is sexy and the fact that it has pockets is a plus. I decided to pair it with other metallic pieces like my Michael Kors heels and switched it up a bit with gold accessories. And how do you like my ‘Doodle’ clutch? It’s one of the more recent bags to hit my Etsy shop.

I still shop at Forever 21 from time to time. I love finding pieces that I can style year after year for almost nothing.

What I Wore:
Forever 21 dress, KORS Michael Kors heels (on sale everywhere if you can find them!), vintage necklace from Atlantis Dry Goods, J.Crew bracelet and ring, Love,Cortnie ‘Doodle’ clutch (HERE), Super sunglasses (similar HERE)

Menswear Addict

From On July 23, 2012

My love affair with men’s clothing has been going on for quite a while. I guess because the looser fits are much more comfortable. And in this heat which is also screwing with my hair, something less restricting is necessary. I came across these pants in the men’s section at the Gap. I tried them on and ended up buying two pairs. I love the shade of blue of these pants. I paired them with a cropped top, neural accessories and my Love,Cortnie ‘Crayola’ clutch. Sad news, there’s only 2 left! Check it out HERE!

What I Wore:
LA Made tee, Gap pants (on sale HERE, new colors HERE) and belt, Love,Cortnie ‘Crayola’ clutch (HERE), Pelle Moda heels

Gotta love how I completely missed the other belt loop in the back. Oops!

Keep It Casual

From On July 19, 2012

This look pretty much exemplifies my style. If I’m not dressed up and wearing heels, I’m in cut-offs, a button-up or boyfriend tee and flats. I’ve been doing good when it comes to wearing flats on my blog. Twice in 2 weeks! These, by Antik Batik, I’ve had for years. The detailing on them is insane. Turquise stones, clear beads and silver discs adorn the leather sandals. It was love at first site and I was obsessed. Also wearing the newest clutch to hit my Etsy shop. White sequins during the day? Yes, please.

What I Wore:
H&M top, Free People shorts, Gap belt, Love,Cortnie ‘Frostie’ clutch (HERE), Antik Batik sandals

P.S. FREE SHIPPING on Love,Cortnie orders with promo code ‘FREESHIP’ until Friday 7/20!

Prints & Peplum

From On July 16, 2012

I was in Old Navy a few weeks ago and on my way to the fitting room I came across these cute little printed shorts. Unfortunately, they were in the kids section. Then I wondered if I could actually still fit kids sizes. To my surprise, I could. And for $7, they were mine. This top, on the other hand, I’ve had for maybe 5 years. So funny how fashion comes full circle. Peplum is a major trend and I’m loving it!

What I Wore:
Anthropologie top, Old Navy shorts, Nine West heels
