Let It Snow…

From On December 19, 2009

It snowed all day Saturday.

It snowed all day Saturday.

With less than a week before Christmas the East Coast is getting hit by a major winter storm. With over a foot of snow on the ground (and it continues to fall), mostly everything has been closed. Yes, even shopping malls. As the last shopping weekend before Christmas it seems that everything has come to a standstill. Planes have been grounded so all those traveling are stuck in crowded airports. So grateful to be in the safety of my own home. Now, to occupy myself with movies, lots of hot chocolate, unhealthy food and maybe some sledding later?
The next day the sun came out and it was beautiful...

What’s On Cortnie’s Wish List?

From On December 13, 2009

C's Wish ListUsually I don’t ask for much, if anything, for Christmas these days. As I get older all I really value is the time I get to spend with my family. Receiving gifts doesn’t really matter, although I do love giving them just to see surprised looks on people’s faces. Don’t get me wrong, everyone likes to receive them from time to time as well, but if there was anything I would want it would be these items:

1. Gorjana Key Necklace (Shopbop.com)
2. The Proposal
3. Virginia Johnson Leaves Scarf (Barneys.com)
4. Nikon D5000 Digital SLR Camera (Bestbuy)
5. Pelle Moda Yaritza Platform Wedge Sandals (Shopbop.com)
6. Rebecca Minkoff Stud Devote Handbag (Shopbop.com)
7. OPI Lincoln Park After Dark (Ulta)
8. Loeffler Randall Matilde Snake-Embossed Boot (Neimanmarcus.com)
9. Trina Turk Sessilee Sweater (Piperlime.com)

Inspired Outside

From On November 17, 2009

With a change in seasons comes a change in life. The year is winding down, the days are shorter and the holidays are right around the corner. Not to mention, it’s become a bit more brisk outside. I was out walking our dogs with my mom when I took these pictures. Fall is my favorite season. So being surrounded by everything that resembles Autumn: heaps of leaves on the ground, a cool breeze, golden yellow, orange and red leaves (what’s left of them) on the trees; I was so excited. It’s beautiful! I know a lot of people are inspired by the things they see outside. For a season that comes and goes every year, you know that change is inevitable. Before it gets too cold, I’ll be taking in this view as much as I possibly can.
