Gothical Plum

From On December 23, 2011

I actually thought this skirt was hideous when I first saw it. Boy, am I glad I changed my mind. It’s so dramatic and the deep purple goes so well with it. Pulled the two pieces together with a belt, added a fringe necklace and the look wouldn’t be complete without one of my Love,Cortnie bags. Speaking of bags, don’t forget to become a fan of the new Love,Cortnie Facebook page!

What I wore:
Top from Nordstrom, BCBG Max Azria maxi skirt and belt, Madewell necklace, Love,Cortnie ‘Elizabeth’ clutch, Vince Camuto booties

Make sure to check out the Love,Cortnie Mentions tab at the top of the page! There you can see how a number people have worn their Love,Cortnie clutches. If you own one of the clutches and the link is not already on the list just shoot me an email!

New To My Love,Cortnie Etsy Shop!

From On December 18, 2011

Introducing the new and super-oversized ‘Royal Vintage’ clutch! Almost twice the size of one of my normal bags, it’s a pretty big one. There are only a total of three available. It’s named Royal Vintage because of the royal blue color that’s prominent throughout the bag and is also the color of the lining on the inside. Although it’s not vintage, I love its dated look.

Now the bag on the bottom has been a work in progress! I’m so glad to finally show you guys what I’ve been working on. Deep hunter green leather with blue and sea green color-blocked strips. The lining is absolutely gorgeous. A floral print with the same matching colors. Not to mention there’s a double pocket on the inside! I’m in love with this bag and I hope that you guys will be too.

Shop them at! (the leather one will be available by noon on 12/18. Also available in limited quantities so act fast!)

Oh yea! I’ve got a new Facebook Fan page for my bags! Become a fan (HERE) to stay updated on promotions, features, giveaways and new additions to the shop!

A Blogger’s Night Out Event

From On December 15, 2011

Had a ball with some blogger friends at the Blogger’s Night Out event at Bloomingdale’s last night. Also met some new faces which is always a pleasure. Lots of photos being taken, cute little finger foods and lots of fashion-talking is to be expected. I wore these amazing pleated (and glittery) H&M shorts. I saw them in the store and chose to build my entire outfit around this one piece. Paired them with a silky top from Urban Outfitters, BCBG Max Azria tights, jewelry from J.Crew and Nine West colored-suede heels. Definitely a good time as usual.

*Sorry for the crappy photos in advance*

A Lookbook Party at Violet Boutique

From On December 9, 2011

Last night was such a good time. I love getting dressed up and hanging out with fashionable people. I also got to put some faces to some blogs I visit frequently, as well as, meet some new ones. The Lookbook party was held at Violet Boutique in DC. It was such a cute store, full of adorable clothes and accessories. I finally got to wear my BCBG Max Azria dress too! I’ve only had it for about two years lol. It was originally knee-length, but I got it shortened. So glad that I did.

Ms.Katherine of La Petite Marmoset herself. The party was really to celebrate the launch of her new lookbook. Check out her vintage pieces in her Etsy shop. Did you notice that she is also wearing her ‘SparkleShine’ Love,Cortnie clutch? Shop it here!

Some pieces from her collection. The knit skirts were my favorite.

How cute are her booties? Absolutely adorable.

Carlis from Spicy Candy DC and my sister Ashleigh from The Daileigh.

Waverly from Pich & Roor and Lacey from A Lacey Perspective. Lacey’s La Petite Marmoset vintage beaded skirt was ridiculous. I couldn’t stop staring at it!

New To My Love,Cortnie Etsy Shop!

I finally found gold sequin fabric! Yay! I have been searching for a couple of weeks. I found the silver and black sequin fabric while searching, but I was really looking for gold. So on Black Friday (I hope everyone enjoyed their holiday!) I went to pick it up. I rushed home, immediately hopped on my sewing machine and put it together. I love the black and white striped lining. Check out the Glittering Gold clutch here!

Be sure to check out the Love,Cortnie Mentions tab at the top of my blog. There you’ll find different blog posts of people that have styled one of my clutches. For those that own one or plan to purchase one, you are/will be included in the list. If I’ve missed one of your looks just send me an email!
