How about this bag though?! *heart-eyed emoji*

2016 Favorites – Pt.3

From On December 30, 2016

StyleLust Pages: 2016 Favorites, Pt.3

This post will be a short one because I didn’t blog for over a month after finding out I was pregnant. Between the whole zika outbreak and being too tired to do anything…I took a break. But here are a few of my faves from the last few months of 2016.

I was almost 3 months along here. I can’t tell you how tight this skirt was around my waist. Wow. Breathing was tough lol. (See CROP TOP, MIDI & POLKA DOTS) Still hiding my bump, but in a more comfortable, loose-fitting dress. (See FLUFFY THANGS) Biggest news of the year in my world. I announced my pregnancy in this post. (See YUP! I’M PREGNANT!)

A couple of other and more recent faves…
Borrowing my sister’s clothes while visiting Maryland. (See BOOTS AS PANTS)
How long can I last? (See NO MATERNITY CLOTHES)

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE! SEE YOU IN 2017!

On we go with my next batch of 2016 favorites! How fun are these pants? And they’re pink?! I couldn’t resist. (See SO PRINCESS JASMINE) Definitely a look that’s in my top 5 for the year. (See PLEATED GOLD) So glad I didn’t mess up and give this tunic away. Perfect for casual dressing with lace-up sandals. (See ZIG ZAGS & LACE UPS)

A backless maxi dress? Yes, please. (See ALL BLACK + CAMO) Omg, I’m so in love with this maxi skirt. I’m obsessed with anything black and white, but black and white polka dots?? Had to have it. (See POLKA DOTS & PINK) Looking extra slim after going vegetarian for a few weeks. Loving this crop top and skirt together. (See BELTED MIDI)

More favorites…
LACED UP & OVERSIZED
WINE FINE
OFF THE SHOULDER
MINT WALL, TANGERINE MIDI

2016 Favorites – Pt.1

StyleLust Pages: 2016 Favorites, Pt.1

One of my first looks of the year. Faking sweater weather in warm temps was not a good idea. I loved this neutral look with pops of yellow and red though. (See POW!) In this look, there’s just something about a gray and orange combo. This dress is everything! (See GRAVITATE TO GRAY) Here I love how this deep neckline and chunky vintage necklace came together. Plus the jeans were only $10. (See DEEP V & FLARED DENIM)

StyleLust Pages: 2016 Favorites, Pt.1

One of my favorite old sweaters from my mom looks pretty darn good with the Springbok Clutch! (See BLUSH PINK & DENIM) This dress was easily one of my best purchases of the year. I loved it so much that I bought 2 more. (See SEAFOAM & FAIRY DUST DREAMS) Years later and my first ever purchase from Zara is still going strong. (See FIRST EVER)

It was pretty hard narrowing it down to my favorite looks in just the first 4 months of the year, so here are some more!

COOL IT NOW
BUTTONED DOWN
PINK VALENTINE
GRAY & LAVENDER
FUCHSIA & MUSTARD

No Maternity Clothes

From On December 22, 2016

StyleLust Pages: No Maternity Clothes

So I’ve been challenging myself to see how long I can go without buying maternity clothes. I’m doing good so far! I mean I did have to give up my jeans or any fitted pants that aren’t sweatpants or stretchpants, but I’m a-ok with that. A lot of my dresses are shift styles or maxis, so I have room to grow in them. It’s kind of crazy seeing your go-to pieces get more and more snug!

This skirt, for example, works well too. I’d usually wear it above my waist which I can still do since the band is above my bump. It just gives off a different look lol. Learning as I go!

Did any of you go without buying maternity clothes? How did you make it work for you?

What I Wore: Old Navy men’s shirt, Boohoo skirt (HERE), Love,Cortnie KeKe Mongolian Fur & Leather Bucket Bag (1 left & on sale HERE), Charles Jourdan heels, vintage necklace from Atlantis Dry Goods
