In The Leaves, Under The Shadows

From On January 13, 2011

These photos were taken before it got too cold. Back on that secluded path that is visited by very few. That day it was covered in leaves and a bit windy, but we managed. I love how quiet it is back there. It’s so relaxing. The sun just made it through the trees which is the reason for all the shadows.

I saw this knit skirt in H&M and thought it would be too cute with this leather bomber I got from Nordstrom some years back. The ALDO boots I’m wearing I’ve also had for years and I love them. The almond toe makes them so comfortable. Not to mention, they’re perfectly broken-in from all the years of wear. Paired them with a light turtleneck from J.Crew and a wool scarf from my huge scarf collection. I just can’t seem to get enough of them and it doesn’t even matter what time of year it is. If I see and love it, it’s mine!

Flashing Lights

From On January 4, 2011

Happy New Year everyone! We made it through the holidays! Woohoo! I came across these photos the other day and figured that posting them was way overdue. Kenny took them back in October. Yes, shame on me for taking so long. He set up a little studio and wanted to play around with the lighting. After a lot of flashing lights, a stool and lots of laughing, we had these. I’m wearing a Joe’s Jeans flannel button-up, BCBG Max Azria leggings, ALDO pumps and a wool scarf from Ruehl.

2010: My Favorite Photos Pt.1

From On December 30, 2010

Now that 2010 is coming to a close, I thought to take a look back at the year in pictures. It’s definitely been an interesting and fun ride thus far. My first full year of blogging and I’ve grown a lot in that period of time. I didn’t realize how time-consuming blogging could be! I split up my favorite photos into two blog posts. So here is the first bunch. I absolutely adore the look I put together in Ruffle Fling, but the photo from Lumberjack Chic may just be my favorite. Enjoy!

Street Stroll

From On November 30, 2010

It’s been a while since I did a blog. With Thanksgiving behind us and Christmas quickly approaching, now is the time to do one. I took these photos a little while ago. I guess it is safe to say that it was a lazy day and comfort was a major deciding factor in what I wore. These True Religions I got from an Urban Chic sample sale. They are way too long for me, but I didn’t want to get them hemmed only because I knew they would look great sweeping the floor over some sky-high heels. I was right. I love this look. The knit vest I got from Anthropologie months and months ago, but never wore it. I wasn’t exactly sure on how I wanted to wear it to be honest. I just had to have it because I loved the contrasting silk tie in the front. Very different from what you usually find in a store. I put a J.Crew boyfriend tissue tee under it and called it a day. The shoes you can’t even see, but they’re these crazy tall chocolate brown platforms from ALDO. You’ll definitely be seeing them in future posts. I hope everyone enjoyed their holiday and enjoy the ones to come!
