Love,Cortnie KeKe Bucket Bag

Lots of newness happening over on LOVECORTNIE.COM. The site got a new look last week and yesterday the F/W14 collection was released. The piece that I’m most proud of and super excited about is the KeKe Bucket Bag. I named it after my mom since she played such a big part in why I ever made one in the first place. It’s available in 3 different calf hair options and you’ll love it! I’ve been wearing mine almost everywhere. Check it out HERE.

I played a lot with mixing leathers with textures. My second favorite is the bright Banded clutch (HERE). Yellow shearling paired with yellow leather and a contrasting black band. You can find a cranberry leather and black patent clutch HERE, a charcoal gray envelope clutch HERE and an amazing blue shearling and leather clutch HERE. Which is your favorite?

I’ve been completely MIA this week, but for good reason. My baby Love,Cortnie has been taking up the majority of my time. My brand new website just launched the other day, I’ve been working on multiple orders and all while finishing up a major project which I found out may not be finished just yet. It’s been hectic, but I’m grateful and blessed to be doing something that I love.

Today marks the third year that my brand has been around. It’s been amazing to watch it grow and I have all of my supporters to thank for that. You are extremely appreciated! So in honor of Love,Cortnie’s 3rd birthday enjoy 15% off of your entire purchase with promo code ‘LCTURNS3′ at checkout. The sale ends Sunday at 11:59pm! Shop HERE!

Sleeveless

I’ve really been into cropped tops this season. Whether I got them from a store or if I made them myself. I’m all about them. This time I cut up a sweater I had for a few years. I was ready to give it away, but thought the neckline was pretty unique. So I decided to keep it and cut the sleeves off. It also originally had pockets until I chose to cut the bottom off. I’m thinking I’ll hem it at some point, but until then, a maxi skirt and statement clutch will do.

What I Wore: Old The Limited sweater w/sleeves cut off (DIY!), BCBG Max Azria skirt (old), Love,Cortnie ‘Midnight Hour’ clutch (HERE), SUPER sunnies (HERE), vintage necklace from Atlantis Dry Goods, MAC lipstick in Rebel (HERE) **Photography by Surpass Visuals

Casually dressing up a basic piece in my closet. This dress is too easy. Easy to layer with. Easy to wear with sandals. Just easy. So of course, I have it in another color and would buy it in more colors if they were available. Layered my prized utility vest that I stalked from J.Crew years ago and added this bauble necklace and statement clutch. Easy.

What I Wore: J.Crew vest (old, alternate HERE), H&M dress (alternate HERE or HERE), Love,Cortnie ‘Comic’ clutch (HERE), Zara heels (similar on sale HERE), Mom’s vintage earrings, vintage necklace from Atlantis Dry Goods, Forever 21 sunnies (similar HERE) **Photography by Surpass Visuals

Shibori

StyleLust Pages: Shibori

You may be wondering what shibori means. Well it’s a Japanese tie-dying technique. This dress caught my eye a couple of weeks ago when a Anthropologie store opened at my local mall. I went to the stores opening event with my mom and spotted this dress. But I didn’t think of it for me, but for my mom. She’s a fan of tie-dye. She liked it, bought it and that was that. Until I made the mistake of trying it on later. Let’s just say I had to get one of my own. I’m a huge fan of maxi dresses! One of my favorites that I own also happens to be from Anthropologie. So whenever I get a chance and see one that I love, I collect it.

What I Wore: Anthropologie dress (HERE), Love,Cortnie ‘Color Me Foldover” in camel (any color available HERE), mom’s vintage necklace & earrings, MAC lipstick in Candy Yum Yum (HERE) **Photography by Surpass Visuals
