I Cut My Boyfriend

StyleLust Pages: I Cut My Boyfriend

I cut my boyfriend jeans. They had been in my closet for quite some time, but I rarely ever wore them. They were insanely too long. It even made cuffing them close to impossible without making them look a bit crazy with bulging cuffs. Instead if getting rid of them all together I decided to cut them. I loved them because they’re extremely comfortable. It definitely would have been difficult to get rid of them based on that fact alone. But with the inseam much shorter, I can get more wear out of these babies for sure.

What I Wore: Anthropologie blazer (alternate HERE), J.Crew tank (HERE), Joe’s Jeans cut into shorts (alternates HERE, HERE & HERE), Love,Cortnie ‘Mongo’ clutch (HERE), vintage necklace from Atlantis Dry Goods, Aldo heels (HERE), Retro City Sunglasses, Melt Cosmetics lipsick in Stupid Love **Photography by Surpass Visuals

Cropped Knit

From On April 10, 2014

StyleLust Pages: Cropped Knit

A little bit of gray and a lot a bit of green. I definitely love a good cropped top and plan on expanding my collection this Spring. I’ve also been on a roll with incorporating more color into my wardrobe. It’s something I struggle with. If it were up to me I’d wear a mix of black, white, gray and/or pink every day. Aren’t you guys proud?!

What I Wore: Anthropologie blazer (alternate HERE), Nasty Gal top (HERE), Gap jeans (similar HERE), Kors Michael Kors heels (sold out), SUPER sunnies (HERE), Mac lipstick in Morange (HERE)

Swingin’

From On March 17, 2014

StyleLust Pages: Swingin'

This nubby wool swing jacket has been in my closet for years. I don’t think I’ve even worn it here on the blog. I’ve had it for at least 6 years, but I can still remember when I first bought it. When I originally saw it, I hated it. I thought it was insane. But as time went on and I saw it time and time again, I fell in love with how unique it was. The texture alone is pretty awesome. Paired it with one of the new Spring clutches from my collection and acidwash denim. I love when I can make something old feel new again.

What I Wore: Anthropologie jacket (old, alternate HERE), H&M jeans (similar HERE), Love,Cortnie ‘In The Nude’ clutch (HERE), Aldo booties (alternate HERE)

Just Belt It

StyleLust Pages: Just Belt It

Ooooweee did we see some warmer weather this weekend! I couldn’t help but bare a little skin. I got kind of creative though. I took one of my absolute favorite scarves and belted it. I love how it cinched in my waist. I used the new Color Me Mini for a pastel pop. Did you know you could order it in the color of your choice? But anyway, the moral of the story is: when in doubt, just belt it.

What I Wore: J.Crew turtleneck (similar HERE), Forever 21 skirt (similar HERE), Anthropologie scarf (old, alternate HERE), Love,Cortnie ‘Color Me Mini’ clutch (your color choice available HERE), sunnies from Nordstrom (alternate HERE), BCBG Max Azria belt (old, alternate HERE), Steve Madden heels (HERE)

Navy Blues

From On February 10, 2014

StyleLust Pages: Navy Blues

Another one of my favorite colors to wear: navy. Can you believe I scored these pants…in the men’s section at H&M…for $6?? You can imagine my excitement. I’ve been really comfortable lately (well, for a while) wearing men’s clothes. I love adding a feminine spin to them whether it be with heels, a bright lip or in this case, both. Plus the little bit of print that the infamous Ashleigh clutch adds pulls everything together nicely.

What I Wore: Anthropologie blazer (old, alternate HERE), H&M beanie (similar HERE) & men’s pants (similar HERE), J.Crew tee, Love,Cortnie ‘Ashleigh’ clutch (HERE), Aldo booties (old, similar HERE), MAC lipstick in Candy Yum Yum (HERE)
