Although it’s a little late into the Summer, it’s never too late to focus on adding to your maxi dress collection. At least not for me anyway. What I love about this dress is not just the blush pink color, but the style of it. It’s super easy and can be dressed up or down. It probably wouldn’t hurt to get it hemmed either. Not to mention, it was less than $20! Thank you, Boohoo!

Oh! And wait! It was so hot on this day! I literally couldn’t take any decent pictures…let alone move.

What I Wore: Boohoo dress (multiple colors HERE), Love,Cortnie ‘Ashleigh’ clutch (HERE), Madewell sunnies (HERE), necklace from Atlantis Dry Goods **Photography by Surpass Visuals

When I first saw these sunglasses…GASP! Black, white AND striped?! Duh, I was getting them. But I felt the same way about this side boob-revealing bodysuit. No brainer. Then I realized that 4 pieces I’m wearing were from small businesses. The sunnies, lipstick, bodysuit and necklace (not including my own clutch, of course). Gotta love that!

What I Wore: Swank Blue bodysuit (HERE), H&M shorts (old, alternate HERE), Love,Cortnie ‘Comic Mini’ clutch (HERE), Quay sunnies (HERE), Zara heels, Melt Cosmetics lipstick in Stupid Love **Photography by Surpass Visuals

Stripe Crazy

Of course, I’m a fan of stripes. I mean there aren’t many people that don’t like them in one way or another. But have you ever found yourself in a pattern where you continue to buy similar pieces, prints or colors? Well, that’s me with stripes. In similar colors at that! So I’ve *tried* to put myself on some type of restriction and I think I’ve done well. I bought this skirt last year (see HERE) and decided to go with a cropped tee this time around. To make it more fitted I pinned the back and tucked it in.

What I Wore: LA Made tee (old, alternate HERE), ASOS skirt (old, alternates I love HERE, HERE or HERE), Love,Cortnie ‘Two-Faced’ leather clutch (HERE), Nordstrom sunnies (HERE), vintage necklace from Atlantis Dry Goods, Steve Madden heels (HERE) **Photography by Surpass Visuals

Fedora First

My first time wearing a fedora and I like it! I was never into hat-wearing, but I really like this one. You can literally find this style of hat anywhere. I had planned on getting one from J.Crew, but figured I should spend less money on it just in case I hated it. So I opted for the Forever 21 version. Glad I decided to try it.

But about this dress! If it came in multiple colors I would definitely stock up on a few. This is like my ideal Summer dress. Lightweight, low cut tank dress with a unique hemline. It’s perfect and I plan on wearing it a lot. I’m going to Miami again in a couple of weeks. Both pieces are definitely coming with.

What I Wore: Nasty Gal dress (HERE, alternate HERE), Forever 21 hat (HERE or HERE), Sam Edelman sandals (on sale HERE), Beetle necklaces from Atlantis Dry Goods, Love,Cortnie ‘Color Me’ clutch in pink (choose your color HERE), SUPER sunnies (HERE) **Photography by Surpass Visuals

Stay Golden

Ooooh the love for this skirt runs deep. It was the last one in a size too big, but I got it anyway. I love a good maxi skirt and this one is far from average. Metallic gold, pleated and with a contrasting waistband making pairing it with (my favorite other color) black super easy. A cropped top and an oversized vintage piece. Done and done.

Oh and let’s talk about these sandals! I hated them at first, but after seeing them a million times I started liking them. I ordered them online about 2-3 weeks ago and I’m pretty attached. I actually prefer them over my usual flip flops. Way more comfortable. I wanted a second pair in white, but they sold out before I could snag them. Sad face.

What I Wore: H&M tank (similar HERE), BCBG Max Azria skirt (similar HERE), vintage necklace from Atlantis Dry Goods, J.Crew sandals (HERE) **Photography by Surpass Visuals
