StyleLust Pages: Denim Does It

I remember seeing this shirt in Gap a couple of years ago and loving it. Only problem was, my size was no longer available. The oversized-lover in me just said to buy the medium. So I did and I’m glad. I can now wear it as a tunic, belted or with a skinny pant. Another denim shirt added to my collection (I have maybe 6). They’re just something you can never go wrong with.

I’m also happy to debut this spotted calf hair clutch on my blog for the first time! It sold out before I even had a chance to style it for you guys. Well it’s back in stock, but still very limited. Easily one of my faves and goes perfectly with denim tops.

What I Wore:
Gap shirt (similar HERE, HERE or HERE), Nine West heels (similar HERE), Love,Cortnie ‘Spotted II’ calf hair clutch (HERE), earrings from Atlantis Dry Goods, MAC Red lipstick (HERE), Essie nail polish in Mint Candy Apple (HERE)

A SpicyCandy Kind Of Brunch

From On March 1, 2012

I hope everyone made their Leap Day count! So many sales were going on too. It was hard to resist. Well this past Sunday I went to a blogger brunch hosted by Spicy Candy DC and One Medical. Mimosas, an omelet bar and yummy fruit could be seen throughout the room. More good times with my fellow DC bloggers. If you want to see more photos from the event check out Spicy Candy DC‘s recap.

I CANNOT get enough of this dress! It’s so versatile (remember it from here and here). It was ridiculously on sale at Anthropologie and I’m SO glad I took a chance and ordered it. This time I wore it with a leather bomber and my Love,Cortnie Fool’s Gold clutch. Thank you to Naseya of The Seventh District for taking these pics for me!

What I Wore:
Anthropologie dress, leather bomber from Nordstrom, Love,Cortnie ‘Fool’s Gold’ clutch, Elizabeth & James ring, Essie’s Mesmorized, MAC lipstick in Chatterbox

P.S. THANK YOU so much to those that congratulated me on my Washingtonian feature!

Muted

From On September 16, 2011

More blush pink! Are you sick of it yet? I think I’m loving it more and more with each pink piece I add to my closet. This is one of those Express button-ups I got a while back. And yes, it’s pink with a taupe colored skirt and not white with a gray skirt as it may seem. Speaking of this skirt, It’s perfection. The longer hemline in the back is a nice touch. Add a couple of dark chocolate leather accessories and I’m good to go.

I’ve got to smile more too! I look so mad. Maybe I was just focused. Either that or I was really hot and uncomfortable. I’m pretty sure it was a mixture of the three.

What I Wore:
Express top, BCBG Max Azria maxi skirt, Linea Pelle belt from Anthropologie (love that the belt buckle is a huge C and I just realized it), Martin & Osa (by Jacqueline Jarrot) clutch, Nine West sandals and Essie nail polish in Mint Candy Apple

OH YEAH! LOVE,CORTNIE CLUTCH GIVEAWAY STARTING ON MONDAY! Enjoy your weekend!

Tunnel Vision

From On August 12, 2011

Took some quick photos in this tunnel behind my house. The timing was terrible because it was sooo hot. I love black and white with a pop of color, so here was one of my many interpretations of it. I’m obsessed over these J.Crew shorts. You might remember the purple ones from an older post. They went on sale and then had an additional off so I got this pair (and one other color). They’re perfect.

What I wore:
J.Crew blouse and shorts, BCBG Max Azria blazer, Gap belt, Charles Jourdan heels, Essie’s Van d’Go (fingers) and Lapiz of Luxury (toes).

Tribe Vibe

From On June 10, 2011

So here we are! This is what I wore to Chevy Chase when I came across the beautiful belt from Anthropologie in my last post. Completely tribal-inspired and not realizing it until I was almost completely dressed. I finally brought out these amazing sandals by KAJU by A.G. Giraudon. I got them from Anthropologie years ago. I just love the little baubles on the top of the metallic chocolate leather. How adorable are they? The pants are a more recent purchase from Anthropologie. By Daughters of the Revolution, they are extremely comfortable and have the perfect amount of stretch to them. Not to mention, they are now on sale.

The lightweight linen shirt is from Zara. I have to wear a white tank under it because of how sheer it is. I wore two necklaces together over top of it. I got them from Express before they turned super trendy. Which means I’ve had them for a very long time! It was my first time wearing my cuff from BCBG Max Azria. I’m not big on bangles even though I love them and own quite a few of them. I think this is a decent start to wearing them more often.

Now the bag on the other hand, I can’t get enough of. I didn’t even think to wear it at first. But when I opened my drawer full of clutches I knew right away when I saw it. Do you remember on Mary Poppin’s how she had that huge tapestry bag where she could reach in and pull anything out of it? Well this bag reminds me of it (minus the pulling anything out of it). I got it from For Love maybe 2 years ago¬†and was sold when I saw the woven tribal pattern and the wooden detailing. So gorgeous. Plus it’s big enough to fit a wallet, bottled water and any other crap I feel I need at the time.

Sorry again for the washed out pictures! I really need to spend some time checking out the settings on my camera.
