Lumberjack Chic

From On April 16, 2010

Another day with Kenny and he captured some more amazing photographs. I was never one that was big on plaid. I like it, but every time I went to try it I hated it on me. This shirt from the Gap I found on sale and thought it would be so versatile. Bottom line, I made myself get it. So with the whole plaid and ripped denim look and all the trekking through the wilderness, I felt like I was either about to milk a cow or chop down a tree. All in my 4.5 inch wedges. I ordered them a couple of months ago from Revolve Clothing, but had never worn them until now. After realizing how comfortable they were I immediately went home and ordered another pair of sandals by the same brand.

Now I know the shorts are ridiculously short and I used to be so against wearing short denim shorts. I loooove being in skirts and dresses in warm weather, but sometimes there are those days when you just want to throw on shorts with a tank and go. These shorts hit my leg at such an awkward spot that I cut them shorter and frayed the edges until strings were hanging.

Overall, I love this look and the fact that I tried something that I wouldn’t have normally chosen. Not to mention the background! The fungus-decorated trees and the random patches of grass. Hope you guys enjoy it as well!

I’m wearing a shirt and belt from the Gap, Free People shorts, Pelle Moda Yaritza wedges, J.Crew bracelet and ring.

Ruffle Fling

From On March 25, 2010

I definitely went out and took advantage of the nice weather on this day. Cloudy skies and warm temperatures are good in my book. It’s been a while since my friend Kenny took some shots of me. So as you might have guessed, I got dressed and we headed down to the lake. The natural setting never gets old and it will only become more beautiful once the flowers start to bloom.

I love this look. It’s really fiesta-like with the ruffles, the colors, and the earrings. I wore a shirt from the Gap and the skirt is from Urban Outfitters. Isn’t it adorable? I couldn’t pass it up. The orange studded belt is also from the Gap, while the cream studded belt is from The Levi’s Store. I have an obsession with belts, but it’s weird because I barely wear them. The shoes are by Pour la Victoire, one of my favorite shoes brands.

The pictures turned out really well. Thank you so much to Kenny! Check out more of his photography here!
