No Pants

StyleLust Pages: No Pants

Yup. I’m still without pants. I always get excited to break out this thrifted oversized buffalo checkered jacket every time it gets cooler out. I’ve styled it quite a few different ways. With jeans, with cut-off denim and leather patched leggings. I think I’ve always worn it with a red lip too. It only seems right. But this no-pants thing is a first. Thumbs up for me! Me likey!

What I Wore: Thrifted jacket (alternate HERE & HERE), House Of Holland tights (HERE or HERE), Love,Cortnie ‘KeKe’ Bucket Bag (HERE), Ann Taylor booties (old, alternate HERE and HERE), Forever 21 beanie (HERE)

Suspender

StyleLust Pages: Suspender

I found myself walking by Forever 21 a couple of weeks ago and one of the mannequins in the window had this top on in white. I could tell that it was a quilted sweatshirt, so of course I bolted into the store and frantically looked for it through all of the madness. No luck. I kept looking. I even asked an associate. Still no luck. On my way out of the store I checked one last corner and there was one…in a size too big…hanging on a rack to be put away. BAM! Instant gratification. I paired my new boxy quilted sweatshirt with a skirt I’ve had for a couple of years, also from Forever 21, suspender tights, a patterned clutch & a bright lipstick. Ugh, so excited that I was able to get my hands on one!

What I Wore: Forever 21 top (similar HERE) & skirt (alternate HERE), Love,Cortnie ‘Spotted II’ calf hair clutch (limited!, available HERE), House Of Holland tights (HERE), Ann Taylor booties (old, very similar HERE), vintage necklace from Atlantis Dry Goods (almost identical HERE), MAC lipstick in Candy Yum Yum (HERE)

Torn Levi’s & More Dots

From On November 29, 2012

I’ve had this shirt for months and I finally got around to wearing it. Lately I’ve had a thing for button-ups and polka dots. So combining the two made it an easy choice at the time. Paired it with a thrifted pair of vintage Levi’s that I slashed up, suspender tights, my go-to booties and a pop of color with an orange clutch.

What I Wore:
Forever 21 top (similar HERE and HERE), vintage Levi’s, House of Holland tights (HERE), Love,Cortnie ‘Color Me’ leather clutch in orange (choose your own color HERE), Ann Taylor booties

Dose of Sparkle

From On January 2, 2012

First and foremost, HaPpY NeW YeAr!

I thought it was extremely appropriate for the first post of 2012 to consist of a bit of sparkle. I love the ‘SparkleShine’ clutch (shop it here!). This outfit is pretty simple with the solid black, but the sequins makes it a bit more exciting. You can count on me to make a dress out of a top any time. Hence, the BCBG Max Azria top. It was one size fits all and I refused not to buy it because that. Afterall, I like my tops big anyway.

What I Wore:
BCBG Max Azria top, House of Holland tights from Urban Outfitters, Vince Camuto booties, ‘SparkleShine’ Love,Cortnie clutch

Make sure to check out the Love,Cortnie Mentions tab at the top of the page! There you can see how a number people have worn their Love,Cortnie clutches. If you own one of the clutches and the link is not already on the list just shoot me an email! And don’t forget to become a fan on FACEBOOK!

Platforms & Big Toys

From On April 4, 2011

Kenny and I went riding around looking for an unusual backdrop for an unusual look. I think we accomplished what we set out for, and was it fun. It was kind of a rush, thinking we could get in trouble. I ordered these House of Holland tights from Urban Outfitters and I think they are too cute. I wanted to wear them with something short so I wore them with my Free People cut-offs and a basic long-sleeved tee. I fought myself over this I.N.C. vest. I’m so not into any kind of fur, or faux fur, for that matter. Obviously, I lost the fight and ended up getting it anyway. The Marc By Marc Jacobs bag in bright pink was just for a pop of color. Pop!
