Leopard & Stripes, Take Two

StyleLust Pages: Leopard & Stripes, Take Two

I thoroughly enjoyed taking these pictures. Just being in the middle of dozens of trees, breathing the fresh air and listening to the small animals scurry around me. Perspective. I loved it! It was the perfect backdrop too. I kept it super casual in a sweater and wide legs I’ve owned for years. But I did happen to add something new to my look. That being my vintage earrings. Boy-o-boy do I love them! A two inch combination of lucite and gold? Too unique to pass up.

What I Wore:
Gap sweater (similar HERE, HERE & HERE), Level 99 jeans (similar HERE & HERE), Love,Cortnie ‘Cool Cat’ clutch (HERE), vintage earrings from Atlantis Dry Goods, Forever 21 glasses (similar HERE & HERE)

Utility

From On May 21, 2012

I remember when I bought this utility vest from J.Crew last year after stalking it for a couple of months. I was so fortunate to actually catch it in my size on sale. Normally I wouldn’t wear a vest as a top, but this was a simple and fun change. Gotta love versatility! And how adorable is this tribal-inspired clutch??

What I Wore:
J.Crew vest, Level 99 skirt, Forever 21 clutch (old), Aldo heels

Coolin’

From On May 3, 2012

Coolin’ in the shade wearing a vintage sweater of my mom’s that I had been dying to wear for months now. I removed the shoulder pads, but the cropped style, light pink color and knit design had me at hello! Also wearing one of my newest and favorite necklaces. For those of you that know me know that my middle name is Elizabeth. What you may not know is that it’s also the middle name of all of the first daughter’s on my mother’s side of my family. Gorgeously meaningful.

What I Wore:
Mom’s Vintage sweater, Level 99 jeans, J.Crew belt, Forever 21 sunnies,Love,Cortnie ‘Ashleigh’ clutch (HERE), vintage necklace from Atlantis Dry Goods

70’s Redux

From On March 14, 2011

Thank goodness the weather is starting to warm up! I’m so ready to take on the new spring trends and flip them into my own personal style. The first one I tried is the whole 70’s look. It’s got a modern take on it this time around. I got these Level 99 wide leg jeans years ago from Anthropologie. I actually had them folded up and tucked away since I crossed over to the side of skinny denim. I paired them with this Dolce Vita cropped sweater. Love how it dips lower in the back, not to mention, the slits at the elbows. Unique.

The accessories I wore kind of had an old feel to them. The oversized sunglasses I got from Forever 21 and the brass locket necklace is from J.Crew. Had to have it. Now the bucket bag is (or was, lol) my mom’s. We found it cleaning out one of our storage closets. It’s woven cotton with cognac-colored leather trim and brass hardware. Not sure what decade it’s from. If not the 80’s than definitely the early 90’s. Even though you can’t see my shoes, they are a pair of heels I always forget I own from ALDO.
