So I chopped off about 5+ inches of my hair. While it is much shorter than it was (it’s shoulder length now), it’s even shorter since I have it pinned up in this faux bob. I’ll have to admit it, but I miss my long hair. The last time my hair was this short was maybe 2007 and let’s just say that afterward I made a promise to myself that I would only trim, not cut, my hair. Then came the urge to cut it off. The urges come and go, but the other day I just went for it. I lost the fight.

In other news, Sally Hansen sent me a few nail polish colors from their new Triple Shine collection to try. I’m a nail polish hoarder so I was excited to try them out. I’m OBSESSED with this bright teal color called Dive In. I love how shiny it is and to be honest, a top coat isn’t even needed. I wore this color for a few days, washed dishes multiple times and my nails didn’t chip once. I’ll definitly be making my way to the store to grab a few more colors. There’s 29 of them to choose from! Keep up with Sally Hansen on Facebook, Twitter & Instagram!

What I Wore: Forever 21 top (alternate HERE), J.Crew pants (HERE), Love,Cortnie ‘Color Me’ clutch (available in any color HERE), Nordstrom sunnies (alternate HERE), Charles Jourdan heels, Sally Hansen’s TripleShine nail polish in Dive In (HERE) with Red Snapper (HERE) on my toes

Take Two

The cropped hoodie is back! I had the random idea to buy an oversized hoodie toward the end of last year and completely cut the bottom off. {*See how I wore it last HERE*} Due to the volume on the top I like to keep it slim on the bottom. Instead of the body-hugging dress I opted for a fitted leather pencil skirt and a little midriff action. Spring, I’m ready for you!

What I Wore: DIY cropped hoodie (similar HERE or DIY), ASOS skirt (sold out, alternate color HERE & HERE), Love,Cortnie ‘Mongo’ clutch (last one HERE), vintage necklace from Atlantis Dry Goods, Zara heels (similar HERE), MAC lipstick in Cyber & Rebel mixed (both HERE)

StyleLust Pages: Dark Florals

Now, I wouldn’t normally invest in something with a floral print on it. Especially not anything like a jacket. BUT! Being that it was mainly navy and consisted of shades of blue PLUS it was on sale, I went for it. Paired it with a different pattern in the same color. Loved the combo!

What I Wore: Gap jacket (sold out, alternate HERE), J.Crew top (alternate HERE), Forever 21 jeans (similar HERE), Love,Cortnie ‘Color Me Foldover clutch in camel (choose your color HERE), Aldo sunnies (sold out), Zara heels (similar HERE)

Don’t Sweat It

StyleLust Pages: Don't Sweat It

I got these perforated leather booties over the weekend and I love how they can be dressed up or down pretty easily. Instead of reaching for a pair of Chuck’s I decided to go with these and pair them with a some of my favorite skinny sweatpants and a less than average sweatshirt. I loved these sweatpants so much that I got 3 pairs of them about 2 years ago AND introduced them to my mom and sister. So now we all have the same pairs. The sweatshirt, on the other hand, I’ve had for maybe 6 years. Love the slouchy feel and the side pockets. Who said you couldn’t wear sweats and heels? Because I’m not sweating it.

What I Wore: Gap sweatshirt (alternate HERE, just cut sleeves & cuff!), J.Crew sweatpants (old, fun alternative HERE & HERE), Aldo booties (HERE), Love,Cortnie ‘Dusty’ leather clutch (HERE), Forever 21 beanie (HERE), sunnies from Nordstrom (HERE), Heart Breaker by Aboni Cosmetics & Color 15 by Make Up Forever (HERE) lipsticks
