New to my Love,Cortnie Etsy shop is the SparkleShine clutch! With the holidays quickly approaching, it only seemed appropriate to make a few using sequin fabric. The best part about it? The sequin discs are black on one side and silver on the other side. If you swipe your hand across the fabric you can wear it either way! Oh, and it’s also lined in bright pink! Shop it here!
I had been obsessing over this sheer silk top for the longest. It comes in this color I like to call dirty chai and was also available in light gray and in teal. I originally wanted the teal color, but earth tones call my name. Plus it went on sale and was an extra percentage off. Easy choice. I bought it in a size medium instead of my normal XS so I could also wear it as a tunic if I so chose to. BCBG head-to-toe. Sheer black leggings are a fun spin on the normal opaque black styles. Added my leopard print Love,Cortnie bag to spice things up a bit.
Excuse the evil look. The glare from the sun was almost blinding.
What I wore:
BCBG Max Azria silk blouse (similar style here and here), BCBG Max Azria leggings (similar style here), BCBGirls heels (simialr style here), Love,Cortnie ‘Ashleigh’ clutch (get it here!), J.Crew ring
The Ray and Betty clutches are on sale in my Etsy shop! Instead of $45 they are $35! Get one while you can because my fabric is limited. The fabric used to make the Ray clutch has been discontinued (which is why it’s a limited edition).
Shop them at LOVECORTNIE.ETSY.COM!
I had been looking forward to this event since I had heard about it. Lucky Magazine, my favorite mag by the way, had teamed up with the LOFT for the grand opening of their store. Traffic was terrible getting to Georgetown and parking was a pain, but once I got to the store I kind of forgot about it. Kind of. I walked in and a DJ was playing music in the window display at the front of the store. The place was packed. The interior designing was amazing and the merchandising looked pretty impeccable for the crowd of people that was there. There were people going around serving champagne and mini cupcakes. It was really nice.
You were also given the opportunity to style a look from head to toe by grabbing what you liked, then putting it on in the fitting room and then you would come out to a photographer that would snap a picture of your look. I skipped that part because the line was way too long. So I mingled with my CapFABB bloggers and that’s always a good time.
I have been DYING for a pair of boyfriend jeans. I’ve bought a pair and taken them back. I just couldn’t find what I was looking for. I always thought they looked too big and weren’t all that flattering. So recently I began the search again. I was browsing Piperlime’s website. SO so glad they’re selling clothes, by the way. I came across these Joe’s Jeans in the boyfriend fit. I didn’t own any Joe’s Jeans so I took a risk with the sizing. When they arrived I was ecstatic. They are super soft and o’so comfortable. I paired them with this striped men’s sweater from the Gap. I’ve had it for two years and have never worn it. Pitty.
So it was only fitting that I title this post ‘For The Boys’ since I’m wearing men’s style jeans and a men’s sweater. What do you think of the basketball court as a little touch? Ha! And I know I look pissed, but it was so bright snapping shots in the sun. Not to mention, it was extremely windy.
From now on I’m going to try to give you guys an easier way to see where I got the items I’m wearing. If it’s something I’ve had for years I will do my best to find something similar.
