What’s In A Bag?

From On August 17, 2011

It’s been over a year since I purchased the Studded Devote Rebecca Minkoff bag. Although I love it, it’s definitely time for a new one. I switch it up all the time with an oversized clutch or crossbody bag, but a new one is in order! This week Independent Fashion Bloggers (IFB) encouraged its members to bare what they carried in their purses. So here’s me baring all.

From left to right, top to bottom:
1. Orla Keily wallet from Anthropologie
2. Gum is important
3. Lotion and hand sanitizer
4. Marc by Marc Jacobs coinpurse full of business cards
5. Bottled water is kept handy almost at all times
6. Keys (Check out my initial and FIDM keychain)
7. Blackberry
8. MAC lipgloss
9. Comb

Occasionally you’ll find candy or snacks, an umbrella or even my mini laptop.

So what’s in your bag?

Platforms & Big Toys

From On April 4, 2011

Kenny and I went riding around looking for an unusual backdrop for an unusual look. I think we accomplished what we set out for, and was it fun. It was kind of a rush, thinking we could get in trouble. I ordered these House of Holland tights from Urban Outfitters and I think they are too cute. I wanted to wear them with something short so I wore them with my Free People cut-offs and a basic long-sleeved tee. I fought myself over this I.N.C. vest. I’m so not into any kind of fur, or faux fur, for that matter. Obviously, I lost the fight and ended up getting it anyway. The Marc By Marc Jacobs bag in bright pink was just for a pop of color. Pop!

Flowered Ruffles

From On March 27, 2011

I saw this silky ruffled top in a store and automatically pictured how I wanted to wear it. So then and there I decided that it needed to come home with me. I was definitely enticed by the fact that it had detachable straps, the perfect amount of ruffle detailing and a small floral print. How nice. I got it home and figured I’d pair it with a super bright cashmere cardi out of one of many that I stocked up on from Martin & Osa. I thought that since it already had pink in it, it was the color I would go with. Add the shredded Citizens of Humanity skinnies and high peep-toe platforms from ALDO and I was set. The little blue coinpurse is Marc by Marc Jacobs, if you were wondering.

Marc by Marc Jacobs Spring 2011

Love the Marc by Marc Jacobs Spring 2011 collection! Stripes, bright colors, fun shapes and fresh silhouettes. We’re still seeing major military influences for Spring, as well as, sportier looks. New this season is the 70′s vibe. Gorgeous prints, highwaisted fits, and full below-the-knee skirts and sundresses give off a flirty sophistication that we all should have a bit of in our wardrobes. I started off writing this blog thinking I was going to incorporate a few of my favorite looks from the collection, but had a hard time choosing. So here are 14 looks of dresses, jumpsuits, shorts amd skirts that loved.

Not Only For Men

From On November 3, 2010

Believe it or not, as much as I love wearing things that are feminine and flirty, I also love wearing things that are a bit more masculine. So here it is, menswear at it’s finest! The blazer is from Express and yes, it is a women’s blazer. The oxfords are from ALDO. I just had to have those. The sweater, however, is a men’s sweater from Banana Republic. They have such a great variety in a wide assortment of colors. Not to mention, they usually are somepart cashmere and are a perfect weight. I have quite a few of them. To finish off the look I went with some ripped ankle skinnies from Citizens of Humanity and a Marc By Marc Jacobs crossbody bag. Who says this look is only for men?
