Oh, Ms.Reese! I knew there was a reason why she was one of my favorite designers. I didn’t have words for this collection when I first saw it. The fall collection doesn’t really look like something she would create, but oh how I love it! I would wear every piece in this collection. The color palette, the textures, the chunky knits, the silhouettes. Everything is perfection. She clearly focused on layering which is always big for fall. She incorporated stirrup pants, arm warmers, and cozy scarfs. All of which I love. The translucent knit tights a lot of the models were wearing are right down my alley. I know I will be sure to buy a similar pair before the cooler weather even arrives. She also played up the different textures by using jacquards, crystal embroidery and faux fur trims.

Isn’t the above photo gorgeous?! It’s a little Madonna-esque with all the lace, black tights and the necklace. Way more girly and feminine though. I couldn’t help myself. I had to include this photo.

So this is the conclusion of the designers I decided to highlight for fall. Take a look back at the collections I blogged about from L.A.M.B., Banana Republic, and J.Crew. I hope you enjoyed them as much as I did!

Fall 2010: L.A.M.B.

We can always expect something new and fresh from Gwen Stefani. For fall she wanted her line to be a little bit vintage, military-inspired, a bit of 50′s style, sexy and futuristic. With all of that as her inspiration, I think she nailed it and still had her rock-and-roll trademark in it. The models with their wavy hair and scarlet lips almost gave it a pin-up feel. Definitely contrasting the rock-and-roll look, but loving the collaboration of the two.

The bottom look is also a part of Stefani’s fall collection. Probably my fave out of the ones I’ve seen. Not to mention, I don’t know if you guys watch The Rachel Zoe Project on Tuesday nights, but Gwen Stefani was in the 8/17 episode. It took place in NY for Fashion Week and she talked about how these pants were one of her favorites. I LOVE the sweater, which can now be found on Shopbop! The entire slouchiness of this look works perfectly with the black lace-up boots.

Spring ’10: Rachel Roy

Another of my favorite designers and the last I chose to highlight, Rachel Roy, has outdone herself with her collection for Spring ’10. I love the sleekness of this collection. The design of her clothing creates a slimming effect. Yes, the models are already very slim, but they do illustrate how well the clothing compliments the female figure. With strong tailoring and draping heavy throughout, you will find an assortment of pieces from T-shirt to cocktail dresses, and separates, as well. Shades of gray and blacks were the main focus, but bright colors (although none are pictured above) were used too.

I love how she played with color in the shoes and accessories. In the second look, the pink clutch adds a pop of color to the gray suit. It looks great, not to mention, I love gray and pink together. the clothing skims the models’ curves and the skirts and dresses hit at the PERFECT length right below the knee caps.

If you’re as excited as I am about this collection, check out more pieces I didn’t post at:

This may be my absolute favorite collection I’ve seen thus far. Tracy Reese’s Spring ’10 collection is something I could see myself in. The color story of tangerine orange, cerulean blue and lemon yellow, with hints of black go great together. Romney Leader writes on Style.com that Reese really wanted to make this new collection more versatile. She didn’t want to make it about dresses only, but separates that you can wear in different ways with other pieces. Mission accomplished! While I still want the dresses, I want everything else too! If I had to narrow down my favorite it would be look 1 and 5. Then looks 2 and 4. Definitely hard decisions. Oh, and those shoes!!

So expect to see girly but sporty clothing from her this coming spring.

Spring ’10: BCBG Max Azria RUNWAY

Of course I had to post pieces from the new and upcoming BCBG Max Azria Runway collection. There was an abundance of dresses. Minis, mids and maxis in coral, black, white, lime, purple, blue or a variety of all those colors were adorable. A lot of draping was used, as well as, bandaging. They also incorporated a new spin on the T-shirt dress. Sheer fabrics, ruched silk, and draped jersey used in unconventional ways made the collection fresh.

We’re loving the maxi dress!
