Oversized Denim Jacket + Biker Shorts

From On May 10, 2019

I have been looking for an oversized denim jacket for FOREVER! I intended on going to the thrift store because I’d have great luck there, but never made it to one. I remember seeing one in Zara and loving the style and fit, but HATING the chrome silver buttons. Boo.

I walked into Target a few weeks ago and BOOM… this one was right in my face like, ‘Cortnie, I’ve been waiting for you.” I didn’t hesitate. It even has inside pockets. It’s the bomb and if you’ve also been looking for one be sure to check this one out.

Lastly, I gave in a tried the biker shorts trend. I despised it. I’ve seen some girls wear them and look o’so tacky. I didn’t want that to be me. So I vowed to cover my crotch and wear something around my waist lol. Moral of the story? Don’t knock it until you’ve tried it.

What I Wore: Forever 21 bralette (alternate HERE & HERE) & Biker shorts (HERE), Target Denim Jacket (HERE), Love,Cortnie ‘Fluffie Clutch (HERE), Old Navy Men’s button up, Boohoo heels (HERE)

We’re OK

From On September 22, 2017

I missed posting last week because Hubs and I took baby girl and left Miami. We drove to my aunt’s house in Georgia to get out of Hurricane Irma’s way. What a mess. Thankfully we’re ok and we made it to and from safely. She did so well on the road too. 20 hours of driving which should have been somewhere around 11 hours because traffic was so terrible going up. We stayed for a week just to make sure the drive would not be like it was the first time. That proved to be a smart move. But we’re back!

Back to working on orders and preparing new pieces for Fall. So I’ve been pretty busy. Took a minute to snap these photos and document my 2nd braid-out lol. I went to run some errands and only ended up taking out the back braids. I left the braids on top and pinned them just so I could get out of the house faster. I actually liked how it looked and rocked it for a couple more days.

What I Wore: Old Navy men’s shirt, thrifted Levi’s, Love,Cortnie ‘Arya’ Crossbody Bucket Bag (1 left HERE), Schutz heels

No Maternity Clothes

StyleLust Pages: No Maternity Clothes

So I’ve been challenging myself to see how long I can go without buying maternity clothes. I’m doing good so far! I mean I did have to give up my jeans or any fitted pants that aren’t sweatpants or stretchpants, but I’m a-ok with that. A lot of my dresses are shift styles or maxis, so I have room to grow in them. It’s kind of crazy seeing your go-to pieces get more and more snug!

This skirt, for example, works well too. I’d usually wear it above my waist which I can still do since the band is above my bump. It just gives off a different look lol. Learning as I go!

Did any of you go without buying maternity clothes? How did you make it work for you?

What I Wore: Old Navy men’s shirt, Boohoo skirt (HERE), Love,Cortnie KeKe Mongolian Fur & Leather Bucket Bag (1 left & on sale HERE), Charles Jourdan heels, vintage necklace from Atlantis Dry Goods
