Candy Pants

From On September 27, 2012

I was originally saving these vintage coral babies for New York Fashion Week, but since I ended up not going I had to make other plans for them. Before I knew it the weather switched up on me and I knew I had to wear them soon or risk waiting until next year. I got them during one of my trips to the La Petite Marmoset showroom (thank you Katherine & Ashley!). It was an easy choice saying I’ve been obsessed with high-waisted and cuffed shorts all summer. So here you have it! Paired them with a striped long-sleeved top and neutral accessories.

BCBG Max Azria top, LPM shorts, Gap belt, Ann Taylor necklace, Pelle Moda heels

This billowy silk top was one of my first purchases from Zara a few years ago. I love how I have the option to wear it on or off of my shoulders. Paired it with my favorite cut-offs, comfy wedges and the ‘Snake-Embossed’ clutch. Check it out in my Etsy shop (HERE)! I only have one available!

Menswear Addict

From On July 23, 2012

My love affair with men’s clothing has been going on for quite a while. I guess because the looser fits are much more comfortable. And in this heat which is also screwing with my hair, something less restricting is necessary. I came across these pants in the men’s section at the Gap. I tried them on and ended up buying two pairs. I love the shade of blue of these pants. I paired them with a cropped top, neural accessories and my Love,Cortnie ‘Crayola’ clutch. Sad news, there’s only 2 left! Check it out HERE!

What I Wore:
LA Made tee, Gap pants (on sale HERE, new colors HERE) and belt, Love,Cortnie ‘Crayola’ clutch (HERE), Pelle Moda heels

Gotta love how I completely missed the other belt loop in the back. Oops!

Easy-Peasy DIY

From On June 25, 2012

I had been on the lookout for some cheap white denim shorts to destroy. I figured, why pay big bucks for something I could easily do myself? Made no sense to me. So when I randomly visited Old Navy and came across these shorts on sale, I knew I had found them. They were about 4 1/2-5 inches in length before I cut them. I don’t like my shorts too short, but it took a couple of tries before I got it to the length I had liked. Then I took a razor and slashed at them a bit. After all of that, washing and drying them give them the frayed look.

Paired them with a putty-colored striped top, my favorite (and only) pair of wedges and a vintage necklace. Easy-peasy.

Have any of you tried any DIYs lately?

What I Wore:
INC top, Old Navy shorts (on sale HERE), It’s Vintage Darling necklace, Pelle Moda wedges

Orange Cream & Sour Apple

From On May 11, 2012

There’s something about an orange and white combo that’s crisp, clean and perfect for the Spring season. I saw this knit tank at Anthropologie back in February and had to have it. A birthday treat to myself. Of course, I had to wait until it warmed up a bit outside. If you can get your hands on one, do it! It’s on sale for $20 now. Added a punch of more color with my clutch and neutral accessories.
