Today was definitely a day for a skirt. I had nothing out of the ordinary planned, but I felt like putting on more than just denim cut-offs and a t-shirt. I decided to go with this periwinkle-colored, lightweight sweater I got from Martin & Osa last year. I never thought of wearing it with a bralette to be seen in clear view. But to take on the current trend of bearing intimate apparel, in comes the Eberjey bralette I got from Shopbop. They have the best selection of bralettes! I paired the two with this vertically ruffled Beckerman skirt (that I also got from Shopbop, go figure). It’s highwaisted and is a perfect length (not too long) since I’m only five feet tall.
As for the shoes, I went with these Loeffler Randall sandals that I rarely ever wear. I absolutely LOVE this brand! This shoe in particular is so dainty with the criss-cross straps across the foot and the strap around the ankle. The pyramid studs give them just enough edge. I accessorized my look with simple gold studs, a large cocktail ring from J.Crew, and a fringe necklace from Madewell. I literally thought this look up a couple of days ago. I’m so glad that I took the chance to try it.

Another beautiful day at the lake, what can I say? Today I wore this shirt-dress by Plastic Island. I loooove this brand! I remember walking into their showroom at the California Market Center in Los Angeles a couple of years ago. It was during one of their monthly sample sales and I racked up on three pieces for a really good price. It was love at first sight, for sure! So when the brand made its debut at Shopbop I was more than thrilled. When I saw this dress I bought it without thinking twice. I love its feminine draping on the sides and its boyfriend button-up appeal. Thank you, Shopbop (again)! This website is my absolute favorite and it never lets me down when it comes to providing the best, fashion-forward pieces. Now the shoes are by Jessica Simpson. I chose to pair them with the dress to give it that edge.
Oh, and these photos were also taken by Kenny. Thank you! They are lovely and make me wish you were around all the time! View more of his photography here!
Bucket bags are in for spring! High end, low end and everything in between. I can’t decide on which one I want or if I will get one at all. Drawstrings, studs, or fringe; there is so many to choose from. The first is the Alexander Wang Diego bucket bag from Oaknyc.com
. The texture of this bag is stunning and the studs give it even more character. It looks great. The second is the Suede Stud Pouch Bag from Topshop
. I like the metal disc and tassle detailing. The third is the Goa Drawstring Bag from Banana Republic
. Loving the navy, another hot color for spring! The last one is the Charlie My Love Breezy Mini Bag from Shopbop
. The tie-dye tassles are so unique. If I had to choose between the four it would definitely be between this one and Alexander Wang’s.
I really wanted to add the new Marc Jacobs bucket bag to the collage, but I haven’t seen it any where other than in magazines. I’ll post a pic on the Facebook Fan Page once I find it on the net.
