StyleLust Pages: Stripes Squared

My love for black and white continues. Lately it’s been about black and white with pops of pink. Last week and my birthday post the week before that both consisted of this color combo. I’m blaming the month of February and all of the pink everywhere!

But I paired these two different scales of stripes out of curiosity. Large scale, small scale. Not a bad combination! It’s definitely an easier and more subtle way of mixing prints.

What I Wore: Zara blazer (old, almost identical AND on sale HERE), J.Crew tee (old, similar HERE), True Religion jeans (similar HERE & HERE), Love,Cortnie ‘Color Me’ leather clutch in pink (HERE), Forever 21 sunnies (HERE), vintage necklace from Atlantis Dry Goods, MAC lipstick in Snob (HERE)

StyleLust Pages: Mixing Textures

Happy December! I can’t believe 2013 is almost over! So of course, with the end of the year comes cold temps. With cold temps comes layering and a variety of textures to cloak yourself in. With that being said, here comes one of my favorite jackets and luckily, one that I got for a steal a couple of years ago. This leather and tweed jacket is pretty much perfection. Thank you, Gap! Paired it with flared denim and a leather and shearling clutch for a pop of color (and more texture).

Caution

From On February 11, 2013

StyleLust Pages Caution

Boy, has it been cold lately! I hate admitting this because I despise the massive hatching of bugs, but I’m ready for Spring. Taking pics in the cold is no fun! I’ve had this sweater since 2007. (I love clothes that come with the year on the inside tag). Went a couple sizes up and bought a large. Neon has been so major lately, so of course I had to play off of that and pair it with a matching neon hat.

What I Wore:
J.Crew coat & belt, Gap sweater, Alimonada & Atlantis Dry Goods necklaces, True Religion jeans, ASOS hat (similar HERE)

Florals, Flares & Cut-Outs

From On August 13, 2012

Kept it casual with this Forward To All peasant blouse that was sent to me. The cut-outs in the back are so unexpected. Nice touch. Thought it would go perfectly with these True Religions. These jeans fit me PERFECTLY. The length is ideal for your tallest platforms. Which for me, is the only way I can wear them or else they would be way too long. Just to think, I almost got them hemmed. Glad I didn’t!

What I Wore:
Forward To All top (get it HERE), True Religion jeans, Love,Cortnie ‘Caution’ clutch (on sale for just $25 HERE), Forever 21 sunnies, Gap belt

Pearls Under Chains

From On October 20, 2011

This would have been a pretty simple outfit if it wasn’t for the heavy ornamentation around my neck. My J.Crew pearl necklace lays under multiple strands of gold chains that I actually (and purposefully) tied knots in. The deep neckline is courtesy of a Club Monaco sweater I bought over a year ago. A bare chest just wouldn’t have been right. Too bad I’ll be saying farewell to the top though. I have a moth to thank for putting a couple of holes in the back of it. At least I was obsessed enough to buy it in another color! And can you believe that I got these amazing True Religions at a sample sale for $50? Lucky snag if you ask me.

What I wore:
Club Monaco top, J.Crew pearl necklace, Forever 21 chain necklace (similar style here), True Religion jeans
